Well, I went to the New York Jets training facility in East Hanover this morning. I got there nice and early to wait with other Jets fans outside the gates. Had a chance to speak with Fireman Ed who was there to show his support for Gang Green. We had a chance to talk about the documentary and might be sitting down to go over the Jets soon. The rain did not damper the spirits of the fans that came out. Many of the kids were able to play and bounce on several of the inflatable play areas. The Hanover Park High School marching band was there to provide the music.
Several hundred fans lined up in two areas to create a “tunnel” for the Jets to run down and slap everyones hands. Everyone was stacked up shoulder to shoulder. Some little kids managed to squeeze their way in to see the players. Dustin Keller was one of the first to come down the tunnel followed by Rex Ryan, Thomas Jones, Nick Mangold, Kellen Clemens, & Ryan Sanchez to name the ones that passed me. They gave out free lotto tickets, key chains, and other promotional related stuff. Everyone who came out had a great time and could not have spent a better rainy morning.
